Keystone Rugby Club

..........is a relatively new addition to women’s rugby based in the Philadelphia area. It was founded in 2001 by seven women (Stacy Foley, Christina Halliday, Regan Marsh, Allison Moore, Stephanie Muh, Jenine Nickel, and Ines Rodriguez)  who believed in the growth of women’s rugby through competition and player development. Everything our club pursues is based on these principles. To give you some idea of the ways we live these principles and the immediate success they have brought us, here is a list of some of the things that make us the most proud.

COACHES & PRACTICES

..........Peter Steinberg is our head coach and orchestrates our intense and mind challenging practices

SCHEDULE

........Our location in Philadelphia allows us to regularly schedule games against top East Coast teams from Boston to Washington D.C. We always have a demanding schedule and so far have risen to the challenge.

PLAYER & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

.......Over half of our players have played select side rugby. We have Eagles, former U-23 players, and other All-Stars. We also recruit ex-varsity athletes from other sports and turned them into good rugby players. We have run successful clinics for H.S. Boys and Girls and local college teams. Currently, we compete in the NRU, who’s select side recently finished second at ITT’s.

GET INVOLVED

There are many opportunities, to get involved!  Since we care about development, you can join us for practice, games, tournaments and forever.  All we ask is that you email recruitment@keystonerugby.org so that we can keep you informed of opportunities to play rugby with us (and who isn’t always looking for more chances to play rugby?!). Also, send us your resume as we can find you a job or internship in the area and of course help with housing.
